Who we are
Daisy Connections Ltd ("we", "us", "our") runs neuroinclusive, friendship-first speed-friending events and this website, daisyconnections.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal information described below.
- Company: Daisy Connections Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 15501417)
- Registered address: 7A High Street, Barnet, EN5 5UE
- Contact: hello@daisyconnections.co.uk
We only collect what we need, we never sell your data, and we don’t track you around the web.
The information we collect
We only collect personal information when you choose to give it to us:
- When you contact us — if you fill in a form, we collect your name, email address and your message, so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- When you sign up to our newsletter — we collect your email address so we can send you news about upcoming events. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
Please don’t include sensitive personal details (such as health or neurodivergence information) in a message - we don’t ask for or need it, and we don’t store special-category data through this website.
Measuring how our website is used
We want to understand how our website is used without spying on anyone. We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own server. It:
- does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personal data;
- does not track you across other websites, and shares nothing with advertisers or third parties;
- records only anonymous, aggregated information — such as which pages are popular and rough visitor numbers — without storing your IP address.
Because this is anonymous and cookieless, there’s nothing invasive to consent to - which is why you won’t see an annoying cookie banner on our site.
Booking events
We sell and manage event tickets through Eventbrite. When you book, you leave our website and book directly with Eventbrite, who handle your booking and payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive attendee lists from them so we can run the event.
Our online shop
Our shop at shop.daisyconnections.co.uk is powered by Shopify. Any purchases or payment details there are handled by Shopify under their own privacy policy, separately from this website.
How long we keep your information
- Contact messages: kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up, then deleted.
- Newsletter subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct information that’s wrong;
- delete your information (the “right to be forgotten”);
- object to, or restrict, how we use it; and
- withdraw consent at any time — for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter.
To exercise any of these, email us at hello@daisyconnections.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent for the newsletter (which you can withdraw at any time), and on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and understanding, at an aggregate level, how our website is used.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
